Frisco ISD Uses Bond Funds Wisely to Update Campuses
![]() |
Voter-approved 2018 bond funds were stretched to pay for a number of projects across Frisco ISD this summer.
At 50 campuses and District facilities, summer projects included upgrades to paint and carpet, technology, and security.
Because the 2024 bond package did not pass, only the most critical projects will be prioritized going forward. With limited funds, District leadership continues working to identify those top priorities.

- Not all 2018 bond funds have been spent or reallocated, including those for Staley Middle School as the Board considers the campus’s future. Follow the decision-making process.
As Frisco ISD campuses age and enrollment has decreased, the District’s priority has shifted from building new facilities to maintaining existing ones. By 2026, 22 elementary schools, six middle schools and four high schools will be at least 20 years old. By 2030, another 18 campuses will turn 20.
Summer projects don’t include regularly scheduled maintenance, which occurs at the five-, 10-, 15- and 20-year marks as part of the maintenance and operations budget.
